Congrats Stefani Farris!
Fairfield Elementary teacher Stefani Farris has been recognized as the 2016 Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching (PAEMST). The PAEMST program, administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF) on behalf of The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy and recognizes outstanding teachers for their contributions to the teaching and learning of mathematics and science.
Louisiana must build science standards strong in content that prepare students for their future, whether that be post-secondary education in a STEM field, a position in the industrial workforce, or as citizens who influence agricultural, petroleum, and environmental decisions. Louisiana has adopted new science standards.
The Louisiana Science Teachers Association (LSTA) is a special group of interdisciplinary science educators. Our membership includes K-12 classroom teachers, university faculty, informal educators, concerned citizens, and business personnel.
If you are in Louisiana and a member of the science teaching community, become a member of LSTA and help ensure the highest quality science education for our children. Complete and mail an LSTA Membership application today.
