3-8 Science Field Test
The Department recently released an update on the LEAP 2025 Science Field Test assessment calendar. “Students in grades 3 through 8 will take a science field test during the regular testing window but will not take an operational science test for the Spring 2018 administration. The items from these field tests will be used to create the new LEAP 2025 science assessments for grades 3 through 8, to be operational with the Spring 2019 administration.”
Check out the Standards page to see all of the science field test guides for grades 3-8 and biology.

Louisiana must build science standards strong in content that prepare students for their future, whether that be post-secondary education in a STEM field, a position in the industrial workforce, or as citizens who influence agricultural, petroleum, and environmental decisions. Louisiana has adopted new science standards.
The Louisiana Science Teachers Association (LSTA) is a special group of interdisciplinary science educators. Our membership includes K-12 classroom teachers, university faculty, informal educators, concerned citizens, and business personnel.
If you are in Louisiana and a member of the science teaching community, become a member of LSTA and help ensure the highest quality science education for our children. Complete and mail an LSTA Membership application today.
